The Law of Attraction isn’t just about techniques and tricks, it’s a lifestyle in itself. It teaches how our emotional state and vibrational scale can impact the way our life develops. Simply put, the Law of Attraction is the ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on. It is the Law of Attraction that that uses the power of the mind to translate whatever is in our thoughts and materialize them into reality. This all seems wonderful if you are in alignment with your true self and sending out vibrations that you want to receive back to you. You can be vibrating at the highest frequency, sending out love and light, then open to receiving those emotions back into your life. In my case, I felt so stuck because I was so out of touch with of how I felt, or knew what I truly wanted. It all comes down to the Law of Attraction. Abraham Hicks states it perfectly, “Use whatever excuse you can to vibrate in harmony with those things you've been saying you want. And when you do, those things that are a vibrational equivalent flow into your experience in abundance. Not because you deserve it, not because you’ve earned it, but because it is the natural consequence of the Law of Attraction. That which is like until itself is drawn.” In the spiritual world, higher vibrations are associated with positive feelings and emotions, such as happiness, joy, excitement, and peace. On the other side of the scale, negative feelings, such as fear, anger, shame, and frustration are associated with lower vibrations. The question I kept asking myself is if if I am feeling stuck in these lower vibrations, how was I ever supposed to attract everything I dreamed of into my life? This is where the Vibrational Scale of Emotions comes into play.
Fear is located at the very bottom of the Vibrational Scale of Emotions, along with grief, despair, and powerlessness, which was what was preventing me from shifting my energy into a more positive light. Fear is what holds us back from achieving feelings of joy, love, and appreciation for life. There are several feelings and emotions that we must work through to move up the emotional scale. It is so important to be in tune with yourself because it is extremely common to have several feelings at the same time (obviously). Making note of the way we feel is the start of understanding what we can do to change certain habits into behaviors to become in alignment with who we are meant to be. I am sure I have said this before, but I suppressed my emotions for a very long time. I didn't realize that I was letting fear control my life, which was blocking me from working through my traumas. Our feelings are influenced by our thoughts and perceptions and surpassing these feelings can lead to anxiety and depression. I needed to realize that it is okay to feel negative emotions and accept what I am feeling, so I could turn that negative energy into positive energy. Working your way up the Vibrational Scale of Emotions is HARD work, but its necessary for us to be able to experience our true self of who we are meant to be. I always wondered why I wasn’t able to find happiness within myself, or discover my passion, but if you look at the concept of the upward and downward spiral of emotions, it all makes sense. This was a major turning point for me and I realized I had a long journey ahead of me. You are probably wondering, how can I move up the emotional scale? Well here are four techniques to start with.
Lets start with Priming the Scale. Try waking up and find something to be grateful for. The morning is a perfect time to start your day with a blank slate and connect to feelings of gratitude and choose an intention to manifest what you want. I totally can relate to anyone who is feeling as if they are at the bottom of this vibrational scale. Connecting to feelings of gratitude may be difficult when you are still processing trauma, feeling discouraged, overwhelmed, or frustrated with your overall life. However, if you can find just one thing in your life that could lead you towards a more positive mindset, you will feel your energy shift. Some feel that writing first thing in the morning helps them the best, but personally, I find it more beneficial for myself to move my body. Yoga and meditation are excellent tools, even if it is just 10-20 minutes to connect with yourself and accept the way you are feeling in that present moment. I am able to think much more clearly after moving my body to then be able to journal how I am feeling.
The next technique to use is Balancing the Scale, which basically acknowledges the fact that it is impossible to avoid any negativity from entering your field throughout your day. It is inevitable that you will run into someone with a bad attitude or hear a devastating news story that impacts your emotional well-being. It is important to remember that the Law of Attraction doesn’t require us to blind ourselves to all negativity to the point of denial that it is exists around us. If we can learn to create a positive environment internally and externally, it makes it easier to acknowledge the existence of negativity. Positive thoughts, feelings, and beliefs hold so much more power than negative ones. If we take a few moments in our day to reflect on certain things that bring us joy and happiness, negative encounters will seem much less influential in comparison to your positive vibration.
The third technique to focus on includes Maintaining Your Place On the Scale, which teaches about reconnecting with the present moment. This has been extremely challenging for me because I am always thinking what I could have done to make a situation better, or thinking of all the obstacles that may arise in the future. One of my favorite quotes by Lao Tzu, “If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the moment.” It makes total sense when you think about what he truly means by this. The present moment is all we have. Why let negative vibrations you may encounter throughout your day ruin your present moment? Try taking a few moments throughout your day to focus solely on your breath and see how these mindfulness exercises slowly start to impact your daily life. The goal of these exercises is to disconnect from external stressors that may have an influence on your vibration and place on the emotional scale.
The last technique that can be used to raise your vibration is the Unconscious Emotional Scale. We fail to remember that the unconscious mind is still active while we are sleeping. We may not think that we are moving towards a more positive vibration in our sleep, yet visualizing what you seek to manifest for your life before you go to sleep can have a great impact. All of these exercises take time and energy that many people may not have time for throughout their busy work schedule. If you can start by simply putting your mind in a good place before falling asleep, the benefits will still have an impact on your overall emotional well-being. One of the most powerful exercises for moving up the unconscious emotional scale involves asking yourself, “What was the best thing that happened to me today”. Remembering gratitude and giving thanks for all of the blessings in your life is the best thing you can do for your unconscious mind before going to sleep. While you are sleeping, the unconscious mind is still exploring these ideas and can actually strengthen the potential of manifestation.
I know this was so much information to even grasp in one blog discussion, but I felt it was necessary to touch upon because it gives insight into one of my other posts on hows Plant Medicine can also be used as a tool to heal. I was first introduced to the Law of Attraction and the Emotional Guidance Scale way before I knew what plant medicine even was. I was so stuck in my own head that I wasn’t able to fully grasp these techniques to be able to shift my vibration. If you are feeling this way, continue on reading my discussion on Plant Medicine, it gives some other insight into my journey of self-discovery and healing along the way.
